Alutech Systems Backs Building Our Skills

Alutech Systems Limited is set to launch a different type of offering to its customers and admits partnering with Building Our Skills – Making Fenestration A Career of Choice and making use of the information and support it is providing, will go a long way to securing its future service offering.

Becky Taylor, Marketing for Alutech Systems Ltd, the UK distribution operation for the Alutech Group comments on why being associated with the campaign and its efforts will help provide long-term rewards.

‘We are beginning to see the Building Our Skills campaign receive real recognition for highlighting the industry’s skills shortage and the need to upskill existing workforces’, Becky adds, ‘Alutech Systems is in the process of undertaking a relaunch of our own offering to help fabricators challenge the level of service they receive through their supply chain, and by tapping into the relationships being developed by Building Our Skills is going to allow us to support training and development for our own staff.’

The Building Our Skills campaign has been working tirelessly for the last 14 months to create a network of industry employers to back the efforts of the campaign and its quest to help raise awareness of the career opportunities for young people and newcomers to the industry, alongside developing partnerships with Government agencies which can raise the profile of businesses and the industry in the companies local communities.

‘Alutech Systems Ltd has a great work ethic already in place and considers staff training and development high on its priority list. Their business sits well in the remit we have for businesses to become a Building Our Skills industry partner, ‘explains Stephanie Tague, Head of Building Our Skills.

‘They are currently investigating opportunities working with a local Government funding scheme, partnered with the campaign which provide industry qualifications to local businesses.’ Stephanie adds, ‘The more training given to internal staff helps the industry offer better support and best practise when recruiting young people and newcomers in the future.’
