Viral Video Shows Digger Tearing Up Hotel, Allegedly Over Wages Non-Payment

As some of you may have seen in the news yesterday evening and this morning, a video has gone viral, showing a builder tearing up a newly finished hotel, in an alleged dispute over payment of wages. This is one of the videos. Please note that there is swearing in this video from the start:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVAa2KeJZsMThe dispute apparently was over non-payment of wages totalling £600. The destruction goes on for a long period of time, before the driver of the digger apparently ran away from the scene after being eventually stopped by others on site.Police were called to the scene in the after afternoon to investigate.Issues around payment, or non-payment in this case, of wages is an issue that also hits home in the window and door industry in the UK. Many trades people will understand the frustration of this guy not being paid. We also do not know the full story behind the non-payment, or if it is something that has occurred before. But was this too much? Frustration over money is understandable, but the damage done to the hotel will cost many times more than that, and may even put the whole project at risk. The money it will cost to repair the damage will run into the tens of thousands, potentially more. What would you have done?
