Leeds-based Morley Glass & Glazing is once again saying ‘cheers’ to charity as it prepares to sponsor the ninth annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival.Organised by The Rotary Club of Roundhay, and returning to the North Leeds Cricket Club, this year’s festival will encourage visitors to ‘Drink Yorkshire’ while raising money to fund worthwhile projects both locally, nationally and even worldwide. The two-day event will feature the very best Yorkshire has to offer including 36 beers from nine Yorkshire breweries as well as a variety of Artful Pour gins, distilled in the heart of Yorkshire. Prosecco will also be on the menu, with additional drinks available to purchase.Sticking with the Yorkshire theme, locally sourced Setchfield pork pies served with peas will be served from the kitchen at all sessions of the beer festival, alongside homemade samosas. And since no festival would be complete without a little music, the festival is pleased to offer a full line-up of local Leeds talents to entertain visitors, with the full programme to be revealed closer to the date. The festival will be open from 6pm on Friday 3 rd and from 12pm on Saturday 4 th April. On Saturday everyone is invited to the fun family afternoon, with free entry for children accompanied by a paying adult, a dedicated play area for children and child friendly snack bags.Ian Short, managing director of Morley Glass says: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor the 9th Annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival. This is exactly the type of initiative we like to be involved with as it perfectly reflects our ethos of giving back to local communities.“I personally will be rolling up my sleeves and helping alongside the Rotarians and I am very much looking forward to the event. I wish NLBF and the Rotary Club of Roundhay every success.”Since it began in 2012, the North Leeds Charity Beer Festival has raised almost £50k, enabling Roundhay Rotary to support charity projects in the local community and further afield. These have included installed defibrillators outside local health centres, sponsoring Rotary Youth Leadership Awards and providing help and equipment to those affected by natural disasters around the world. For more information, visit www.morleyglass.co.uk.
