Change of management at SWISSPACER
Kreuzlingen / Switzerland, May 2020Andreas Geith is leaving the Swiss premium manufacturer of warm edge spacer bars on 31 May 2020 at his own request to enjoy his retirement. Victoria Renz-Kiefel, former director of Strategy at Saint-Gobain High Performance Solutions to take over the management of SWISSPACER.Since the beginning of 2011, Andreas Geith has constantly moved the company and the warm edge forwards and ensured the international establishment of SWISSPACER as a market and innovation leader. His team based approach always focused on finding the right talents for the growth-orientated strategy, both in Sales and Marketing as well as in the area of Technology and Innovation. After more than nine years at the top of SWISSPACER, he is now handing over the reins to the next generation. “We respect Andreas Geith’s decision and thank him wholeheartedly for the excellent cooperation. For over 28 years, he advanced and developed many areas with total dedication in a range of management positions at Saint-Gobain. We wish him all the best for the future,” says Reto Cometta, General Manger Business Unit Windows, about the successful work done by Andreas Geith.“I hugely enjoyed the entrepreneurial work with our highly motivated and pleasant team, right to my very last day. We managed to make an impact on many new and international markets through proverbial Swiss quality, service and performance. If nothing else, that is why SWISSPACER is synonymous with the warm edge in a number of markets nowadays,” says Geith. To allow sufficient time for a smooth handover, Victoria Renz-Kiefel took over the management of SWISSPACER on 1 April. Having studied business management with stints in Shanghai, London and Paris, she subsequently worked as a project leader at BCG (The Boston Consulting Group). In the last two years, Renz-Kiefel was responsible for the strategy applied in the area of HPS (High Performance Solutions) at Saint-Gobain.“We have found Ms Renz-Kiefel to be an extremely competent management personality and in particular consider her experience working on international, strategic projects to be of great added value for SWISSPACER. We are very confident that she will continue to move SWISSPACER forwards in the future,” adds Cometta. As in her career to date, Renz-Kiefel will continue to pay attention to internationality, diversity and customer focus at SWISSPACER: “In this sense, I’d like to develop the international expansion of the company further so that the warm edge from SWISSPACER sets global standards. To ensure this happens, we must constantly expand and improve our products and services so that we have a solution for all our customers’ challenges. In the short term, however, what matters is protecting the health of our employees and being a reliable partner to our customers.”The warm edge is not yet standard and less energy-efficient spacer bars are often chosen in favour of faster processes. “SWISSPACER has greatly advanced the warm edge, and increasing numbers of imitators are appearing on the market. Which makes it all the more important for us to ensure excellent technical support and to actively shape the way the market is developed together with our customers,” adds Renz Kiefel.Further information is available at www.swisspacer.com.
