Crowdfunding For Tornado Strike & Blinds Factory

Tornado Strikes Pellini Blinds Factory in Czech Republic

There was devastating news last week as a rare tornado in the Czech Republic struck the town of Hodonin. Unfortunately, five lives were lost in the extreme weather incident, with more than 100 injured.

The tornado also hit the CZ Pellini factory, causing massive damage. It is also reported that a number of workers have lost their homes in the devastation.

On their website and social media, Morley Glass have provided the following statement:

We are working closely with Pellini Italy to take the necessary steps to minimise the inevitable delays which will result from this disaster. We will keep you updated regarding deliveries and thank you for your patience during this time.

The before and after pictures below demonstrate in tragic detail the scale of the damage the tornado wreaked on the town:

The team at DGB, Fenestration Digital, FENEX and the National Fenestration Awards pass on their heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy, and to all those who have lost their homes and their jobs.

It is with certainty that we know the entire UK fenestration sector will want to wish Pellini CZ and the employees and staff affected the very best in the days and weeks to come, and know that they will come back stronger than before and ensure the town of Hodonin prospers once again.
