The UAP team is celebrating eight National Fenestration Award (NFA) nods ahead of this October’s ceremony. The nominations span across the people, products and processes encapsulating UAP’s all-encompassing approach to manufacturing and management, innovation in the industry and investment in employees and training.

  • Office Manager of the Year – Tasha Doyle

  • Social Networker of the Year –  Barry Halpin

If UAP takes home the Hardware Company of the Year title, it will be the second consecutive year they have received the trophy. The 2023 ceremony also saw David Jennings, UAP’s CEO, presented with a NFA Lifetime Achievement award. Here he explains how delighted the team is to receive so many nominations this year, but how it’s all part of a day’s work…

“Anyone in the industry will tell you how meaningful it is to receive an award – even a nomination –that has been voted for by your professional peers,” says David. “To be shortlisted for eight 2024 NFA categories makes me extremely proud of all the team and their hard work.

“I am proud of them every day though. And, if you look at the categories we have been nominated in, it shows the width and breadth of everything we stand for at UAP Ltd. We have been evolving as a brand and a business since our inception in 1996.

“We care about our people and we want them to thrive in our business and the wider industry. So, to be in the running for four individual awards – Director/Managing Director of the Year, Office Manager of the Year, Social Networker of the Year and Sales Executive Of the Year – is a credit to those people and the teams they work in.

“Of course, we are passionate about product. The launch of the IONIC Electronic Lock with Haptic Technology by Fullex-ai has been a modern milestone in our company history, and the two nominations for it are absolutely fantastic. We believe our R&D team, and in-house testing department are second-to-none. Every other product from UAP over the last three decades has helped pave the way for the next and we are developing new ideas and innovations every day, based on the ever-changing landscape of the fenestration industry and consumer demands.

“The opening of the Fire Door Maintenance Training Centre earlier in the year has also been a significant signpost on our timeline. Based at our HQ in Bury, this centre is the first of its kind – and the only one of its kind in the UK – which makes the Training Company of the Year and Nicola John’s nominations really special too.

“We are thrilled with the announcement, and I’d like to personally thank of all the UAP team for the hard work they put in every day. Awards really are the cherry on the cake, and as we manufacture and supply thousands of products across both commercial and domestic, with multiple industry-leading brands, all over the world – the list of categories really does encapsulate the essence of UAP.

“Good luck to all of our fellow nominees and see you at the finals in October!”
