This year, we are focusing on three key innovation areas designed to support the latest security and fire standards while addressing the evolving design challenges in our sector. Security & Compliance: Preparing for Regulatory Changes
With security legislation evolving, we are helping our customers stay ahead of new compliance requirements. An addendum to PAS24:2022 was published in 2024, impacting security testing standards, and will be incorporated into the upcoming revision of Approved Document Q (ADQ) in building regulations. These changes, expected to take full effect in 2027, introduce stricter attack testing methods and extend ADQ’s scope from new builds to refurbishment projects.
To support door fabricators and installers through this transition, our technical, laboratory, and product management teams are expanding their services. With nearly 50 years of testing expertise, our UKAS accredited laboratory will be among the first to offer testing to PAS24:2022, including the 2024 addendum. Our expert teams are ready to guide customers through test programs, compliance consultations, and product development days—helping them adapt their designs efficiently and effectively.
Smart Security Solutions: Innovation Meets Compliance
In addition to our compliance support, we are launching a range of smart security solutions designed to integrate seamlessly with our award-winning locking systems. These solutions not only meet the latest PAS24 and Secured by Design standards but also enhance security and convenience for fabricators and end-users alike.
A key highlight at FIT Show 2025 will be the unveiling of a breakthrough product on the first morning of the event. This innovation completes a comprehensive package of products, services, and solutions that future-proof security compliance ahead of regulatory changes.
Aluminium Solutions: Productivity & Performance Enhancements
For aluminium system houses, fabricators, and installers, we have several major product launches and live demonstrations planned. Our modular aluPilot window fitting system will be showcased in action, demonstrating how it enhances productivity, reduces waste, and streamlines ordering and inventory processes.
Additionally, we are introducing our primePort range of versatile patio and balcony door and window fitting systems. Designed for seamless integration into various materials, including aluminium, timber, and PVC-U, these solutions deliver outstanding energy efficiency, weather resistance, and space optimisation.
· primePort AS retract-slide system: Offers a clean design with hidden moving parts, easy maintenance, and a tight seal for improved insulation. This system allows generous openings without interfering with interior and exterior layouts—ideal for modern living spaces.
· aluPilot Enhancements: We are launching two key additions to our modular aluPilot system, including a new solution designed for lower operating positions and a new restriction system suitable for various applications across customer projects.
Fire Safety: Future-Proofing for 2029
With the transition away from BS fire standards and the move to EN standards, FIT Show 2025 presents the perfect opportunity to discuss the implications with our fire safety experts. We will be showcasing our expanded scope of accreditation for composite and timber internal and external fire doorsets. Our solutions offer the widest range of design options, backed by mirrored test evidence for fire, smoke, and security—all fully tested to EN standards and 3rd party accredited, ensuring customers are prepared for 2029 and beyond.
